Mondog #10: Scraps

Selvedges are not the only thing you can tie to your dog.

Fabric scraps work quite well for the accessorizing pup as well.

Have a happy mondog everyone!

If you have a puppy to submit to me please email me at Chen (dot) AD (at)gmail(dot) com

Mondog #8 OCD

Today's Mondog is brought to you by Corgi Addict (or Obsessive Corgi Disorder)

My roommate and I have been talking about living together next year and what we want in our apartment/ what we are looking for. It is my dream to have some sort of space to making into a craft studio. And both of us (but mostly her because it will technically be her dog) want a place that is dog friendly.

We really want to get a corgi. It is largely because of this website. It has given us both Obsessive Corgi disorder. Because really how can you resit that puppy face? We have already decided that the dog's name will be Scootalo.

Sorry that I am posting this so late. But I am hoping you all enjoy the rest of your mondog and relax!

(As always if you would like your dog to be featured as a mondog and be linked back please email me at Chen (dot) AD (at) gmail (dot)com

Mondog #7 '50s Housewife Edition

This Mondog is brought to you by my sister's photoblog

Some people make really good use of their selvages. Some people make beautiful quilts out of them. Nikol from my work makes really cool pincushions, mug rugs, and bags out of them.

What do I do with my selvages? What any good dog lover/ sewist does with their selvages of course! I tie them on my dog!

Doesn't she look silly? And incredibly annoyed? And like shes doing her best Betty Draper impression? Put a vacuum in one hand and a martini in the other and shes all set.

As always if you'd like your dog featured on a mondog post email me a picture and a brief description to Chen (dot) AD (at) gmail (dot) com.

Have a great Mondog everyone! and a lovely rest of the week!

Mondog #6 One Tuff Puppy

This is Tuffy. She is the dog of my ravelry friend Hilary. And sooo cute!

She was a stray that Hilary found and from what i can tell she really earned her name! In her own words,
We found Tuffy living in the backyard at the shop at my husband’s work. She was sneaking in at night and sleeping under a tarp and wouldn’t let anyone near her until I started working with her. She was certainly abandoned and maybe abused. We brought her home in April 2010 and she’s been glued to my side since then! She’s a real joy to us.

What a good story! I love it when dogs and people find happy endings. And from the sounds of it Tuffy and Hilary get on really well and what more can you ask for in a dog?

Have a happy Mondog everyone (And a happy MLK day as well)

If you have a dog you'd like to be featured as a Mondog post please email a pic of your dog and a brief description Chen(dot)AD(at)gmail(dot)com I'm always looking for more puppies! I can only feature Esme so many times!

Mondog #5: The Official Greeter

This is Skilos. She is 11 and a golden retriever. She is the sweetest girly and loves ear scratches and lots of pets. If you ever have a chance to drop in at sewtropolis chances are you will be greeted by her. She comes to work when ever Nikol works and always has fun.

Last time I saw Skilos the poor girl looked like this.

Don't worry the ear is still there, her allergies were just acting up. But the bandage sure got lots of sympathy pets. This was a few weeks ago though, Skilos and I keep on missing each other at the store. Hopefully her ear is all better now!

PS: Skilos is also a great scarf model!
